KEPCO and Manikaran Power have signed an MOU by which they will acquire and operate stressed power plants in India. Both the companies have agreed to contribute their skills and resources towards acquiring and reviving stressed power plant assets in India.
South Korea’s KEPCO provides O&M services, with an existing overseas O&M portfolio of about 6000 MW, along with a portfolio of 52 000 MW of owned plant in South Korea. It also provides commissioning and overhauling services, power plant diagnosis, lifetime management, and performance enhancing services to energy facilities globally.
Manikaran Power has a Category I power trading license in India. It has diversified into analytics with a focus on forecasting and scheduling services for wind and solar plants.
