Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. has completed the installation of underground power transmission and distribution lines and substation equipment at the Tsugaru wind farm, marking the completion of what is claimed to be Japan’s largest wind farm.

The company, as part of a group including Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Densetsu Co., Ltd, designed, manufactured and installed the equipment, along with a 34 km-long, 154 kV transmission line for the 121.6 MW project.
