Iran to construct new power plants in Bushehr

Ali Akbar Salehi, Head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran ( AEOI ), said that Iran will begin construction of two new nuclear power plants in Bushehr. Salehi said: “Within the next few months, we will be launching new reactors. Activities are going on, and they are expanding in some areas.” He added that Iran and Russia have signed agreements for the construction of two reactors in Bushehr.

In November 2014, Iran and Russia agreed a deal to build eight more nuclear power plants in Iran.
