The target includes 2.3 GW of solar power, 350 MW wind power, 180 MW of biomass power, 150 MW of small-scale hydropower and 20 MW of solid waste-based power capacity.
To achieve this aim, a separate Odisha Renewable Energy Development Fund will be created. The government will allocate $77 million to the fund over five years to set up renewable projects. It will also look at other financing mechanisms for the projects.
