The Negrete project will be located in central Chile. Goldwind will supply 23 GW87/1500 low wind speed PMDD turbines, which have an 87 m rotor diameter and a 1500 kW rated capacity. These were designed to target low wind speed conditions with an average wind speed of 6-8 m/s. Goldwind has installed over 600 GW87/1500 wind turbines globally.

Wang Haibo, Vice President of Goldwind and General Manager of Goldwin International, said: “As one of the first Chinese wind turbine manufacturers exporting its products, Goldwind has not only expanded into major overseas markets including Europe, North America and Australia, but has also established its presence in emerging markets such as South America, Asia and Africa. We strive to provide comprehensive wind power solutions including high quality products and services for our global customers.”
