GE has announced that it has won an order to supply power generation equipment for Naepo Green Energy’s new district heating plant located in the centre of Naepo City, South Korea. GE will deploy one of its 60 Hz 7HA.02 gas turbine with an H65 generator. GE will also supply an STF-D650 steam turbine, an H35 generator, an HRSG, a condenser, and equipment maintenance services for 19 years.
The plant will have 500 MW capacity, and will provide steam for 100 000 citizens of Naepo City, providing support for the city’s colder winter months.
Naepo District Heating Plant will be built by Lotte Engineering & Construction of South Korea.
The HA technology is capable of reaching nearly 64 per cent efficiency in combined cycle mode, and over 91 per cent efficiency in district heating mode.
