GE Renewable Energy wins wind farm project in Vietnam

GE Renewable Energy has announced that it has won a contract from Vietnam Joint Stock Construction Electricity Corporation (VNECO) to supply eight of GW’s 3.8-137 MW wind turbines. These will support construction of the Thuan Nhien Phong (TNP) wind farm in Binh Thuan provomce in the South-Central Coastal region of Vietnam. The contract also provides a 10-year full-service O&M agreement for the wind farm.

The wind farm will be powered by eight GE’s 3.8 MW wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 137 metres, and a customised hub height of 131.4 metre towers designed to take best advantage of the wind conditions.
