GE describes the LMS100 as being well suited to meeting fluctuating grid conditions, having high flexibility, enabling them to provide high stability to the grid. The LMS100 has dual-fuel capability, being able to operate on both natural gas and LPG with zero fuel transition cost.

Jiangsu Etern won the contract from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for setting up the Shahjibazar power plant on a turnkey basis. The 100 MW power plant is part of a larger initiative undertaken by BPDB to improve grid stability. The plant is designed to operate under three modes – base, peak, and swing – to meet the grid’s varying demand.
