Eurowind Energy has announced its intention to build projects that will add a total of 1 GW of power generation capacity over the next two years in Europe.
The plan involves building up to 50 new power plants in core markets such as Germany, Romania, Poland, and Southern Europe.
Eurowind is currently working on construction of 10 projects across Europe. The company said it will develop a range of technologies for the new projects, including combining several in hybrid power plants. The technologies it said it will develop include wind, solar, battery energy storage, biogas, and electrolysis.
Eurowind has said that it has already entered into strategic collaborations with selected suppliers for the proposed projects. It expects all of the new energy parks to be installed over the next 12-18 months.
