The opening increases Brazil’s total centralised solar power generation by 8 per cent. The solar complex consists of 22 separate solar plants, and a total of 1.4 million solar panels supported by over 19 700 trackers. It occupies 1650 hectares.

The power generated from the solar panels is supplied to two 400 MVA transformers and transmitted through a 500 kV, 15.6 km transmission line. The complex has been connected to the Brazilian national grid.

100 MW will be supplied to White Martins from 2023 to 2035.
