As a measure against rotating brownouts in the Visayas, Reyes disclosed that the Cebu Energy Development Corporation (CEDC) has constructed three new 82MW coal-fired power plants, the first of which is scheduled to go online in March 2010. The remaining two units are scheduled to start operation by the end of 2010.
