The Egyptian investment management company Enara Capital has announced plans to set up a 40MW solar power park in Kenya. Sherif El Gabaly, Founder and Chairman of the Enara Group, said that the Kenya project will be implemented alongside similar solar plants with a total capacity of 130MW, including 50MW in Kazakhstan and 40MW in Saudi Arabia. It said that it aims to launch 800MW of renewable power plants worldwide over the next five years.
Enara Capital has not yet confirmed the scheduled timeline for the Kenya project.
