EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions 56 MW solar power plant in France

EDF Energies Nouvelles has commissioned its Massangis solar power plant, with an installed capacity of 56 MW, located in the Bourgogne region of France. The Massangis solar photovoltaic plant is equipped with around 700,000 next-generation thin-film photovoltaic panels manufactured by First Solar.

The project was initiated in 2010, and the power plant was developed and built by EDF EN France, and it has been commissioned in successive phases since spring 2012. It will be operated and maintained by EDF EN Services.

The newly commissioned Massangis photovoltaic power plant completes EDF Energies Nouvelles’ generating portfolio in France.
