Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction of Korea has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to jointly develop, construct, and operate wind power projects outside Korea.

Doosan developed Korea’s first 3 MW offshore wind turbine, the WinDS3000TM, in 2011. Since then, the company has been actively involved in offshore wind power generation projects, and has won the country’s largest supply contracts for both onshore and offshore wind power projects. It currently is operating a total of 207 MW of wind power capacity.
