Czech net power demand was 5.25 TWh, compared with 5.13 TWh in March 2009. Czech total electricity generation was 7.58 TWh compared with 7.42 TWh a year earlier.

ERU does not break down the electricity demand and generation data by company, but the Czech 70 per cent state-owned power utility CEZ has a roughly 56 per cent share of the domestic distribution market and a 70 per cent share of domestic power generation.
