In terms of the country’s total power generation, however, energy generated from wind farms only rose from 3 per cent in September 2014 to its current level of 4.9 per cent. According to data from the Brazilian Wind Energy Association (ABEEolica), the country currently has 7180 MW of installed wind capacity.
The top three Brazilian states are Rio Grande do Norte with 2606.6 MW, Rio Grande do Sul with 1346.8 MW and Ceara with 1,256.3 MW.
The CCEE also stated that Brazil’s total energy consumption decreased by 1.9 per cent, while power generation fell 1.8 per cent last month.
