Aggreko launches rental solar power

Aggreko has announced that it has launched rental offerings of solar power, available immediately. It said that the 1 MW solution is optimised for weak or off-grid applications and “delivers clean energy without long-term financial or technical commitment.”

Deployment time of the rented solar power is 3-4 months, with contract durations starting from five years, providing flexibility should business operations or market conditions change. Aggreko said that the new system integrates with its battery storage products and thermal generators. All three assets are managed by intelligent software using one control system.

The PV panels feature a single-axis tracking system to maximise energy production, while enabling a more stable and predictable yield curve. The use of a tracking system increases the amount of energy delivered by 10-20 per cent.
