ACWA Power to build 110 MW floating PV projects in Indonesia

ACWA Power has been chosen by PLN, Indonesia’s state-owned electricity utility, to build two floating solar PV farms. The projects will help enable Indonesia to achieve its renewable energy target of 23 per cent by 2025, under the country’s National General Energy Plan.

The Saguling Floating Solar PV project will have a capacity of 60 MW, and the Singkarak Floating Solar PV Project will have a capacity of 50 MW. Combined, they have an investment value of $105 million.

ACWA Power has a 49 per cent equity stake in both projects, with 51 per cent being held by Indonesia Power , a subsidiary of PLN.

This is ACWA Power’s first project in Indonesia and its first floating solar PV projects.
